Man United 'leading race' for £51m-rated defender
Manchester United are reportedly preparing to make progress in their efforts to sign Sporting Lisbon defender Goncalo Inacio.
The Red Devils hierarchy are currently contemplating how to handle their head coach situation with Erik ten Hag undergoing an end-of-season review.
However, with a newly-formed footballing operations team at the helm, United are in a position where they can advance with their plans for the summer transfer window.
Ten Hag, himself, has already acknowledged that acquiring a new central defender is towards the top of the club's priority list with Raphael Varane having left on a free transfer and a Jonny Evans exit still a possibility.
Spurs 'make decision' over when to submit Conor Gallagher bid
Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly identified their preferred time to make a bid for Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher.
The England international has just starred for the Blues in 2023-24, contributing five goals and seven assists from 37 starts in the Premier League.
Gallagher - the third-choice captain under then-head coach Mauricio Pochettino - subsequently helped Chelsea earn a return to European competition, yet it has been well-documented that he is available for transfer.
Co-owners Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital want to cash in on the 24-year-old in order to significantly boost the club's position with the Premier League's Profit and Sustainability regulations.
Man Utd in talks with first-team duo over new contracts
Manchester United have confirmed that "discussions remain open" with both Jonny Evans and Tom Heaton over new contracts at the club this summer.
The experienced duo only have deals with the 20-time English champions until the end of June, and it had been thought that both would depart on free transfers ahead of the 2024-25 campaign.
However, the Red Devils have revealed that talks are ongoing with the pair over the possibility of extending their time at Old Trafford, potentially for one more season each.
Evans joined Man United for the start of pre-season training last summer, and he was ultimately offered a one-year contract due to the impression he made both on and off the field.
Tottenham Hotspur's most expensive signings ever
Amid incessant finger-pointing at Daniel Levy for Tottenham Hotspur's excruciating streak without a trophy, the Spurs chairman is often criticised for failing to back his managers in the transfer market.
Unlike some of their Big Six rivals, the Lilywhites are yet to surpass the £100m mark on one transfer, but significant fees have still been shelled out on players past and present.
Here, Sports Mole takes a look at the most expensive signings in Tottenham's distinguished history.
Liverpool's most expensive signings ever
One of the most successful teams to ever grace the English game, Liverpool are no strangers to big-money moves in the transfer market, even if the owners sometimes come under fire for a perceived lack of spending.
Of the most expensive players to arrive at Anfield, some have well and truly made their mark at the club, while others' stints on Merseyside are best consigned to the back pages of history.

Chelsea's most expensive signings ever
Chelsea are currently preparing to make some significant additions during the summer transfer window, signings that they hope will be impactful in the long run.
However, as a result of being required to meet the Premier League's Profit and Sustainability regulations, as well as UEFA's, supporters will not be expecting any fresh faces to break into the club's top-10 most expensive transfers of all time.
Here, Sports Mole takes a look at those signings in question, which have been split over the Roman Abramovich era and the co-ownership of Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital.
"Has formally been offered a new deal" - Man Utd issue update on attacker's future
Manchester United have confirmed that Omari Forson has been offered a new contract amid the recent speculation surrounding the attacker's future.
The 19-year-old made seven first-team appearances for the Red Devils during the 2023-24 campaign, including four outings in the Premier League, providing an assist against Wolverhampton Wanderers on his league debut.
Forson's contract at Old Trafford is due to expire at the end of June, and a recent report claimed that the teenager was preparing to leave the 20-time English champions this summer.
However, Man United have confirmed that they have offered the England Under-20s international a new deal.
Arsenal's most expensive signings ever
During the days of Arsene Wenger - especially in the years immediately following the move to Emirates Stadium - Arsenal were often frugal when it came to transfers, preferring to spend carefully and taking punts on the stars of tomorrow.
However, with Mikel Arteta and Edu receiving all the backing they require from the owners, the Gunners are splashing the cash freely in the transfer market as they continue to close the gap to Manchester City.
Here, Sports Mole looks at the most expensive signings in Arsenal's glittering history.
Transfer rumours: Spence to Genoa, Hummels to Roma, Herrera to Zaragoza
Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly in negotiations with Genoa over the permanent transfer of English defender Djed Spence during the summer market.
The 23-year-old spent the second half of the 2023-24 campaign on loan at Genoa, representing the Italian outfit on 16 occasions in all competitions.
Spence has another three years left to run on his contract at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, but he is being heavily linked with a permanent move away from his parent club.
According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Spurs are in discussions with Genoa over a long-term switch for Spence, who is not in the plans of Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou.
Liverpool goalkeeper offered new contract despite wanting to leave
Liverpool have announced their retained list following the end of the 2023-24 season, confirming that they have offered a new contract to one of their experienced goalkeepers.
With Alisson Becker the undisputed number one and Caoimhin Kelleher establishing himself as a competent backup, Adrian has served as the Reds' third-choice stopper for a few years now.
The 37-year-old has played just 26 times for the Reds since joining in 2019 - keeping seven clean sheets - and he failed to make a single competitive appearance in the 2023-24 campaign.
Not since the 2022 Community Shield success over Manchester City has Adrian featured in between the sticks for Liverpool, who stand to lose him when his deal expires at the end of the month.
Transfer rumours: Garcia to West Ham, Aguerd to Atletico, Reus to LA Galaxy
West Ham United are reportedly battling Bayer Leverkusen for the signature of Girona midfielder Aleix Garcia during this summer's transfer window.
The 26-year-old was in excellent form for Girona during the 2023-24 campaign, scoring three goals and registering six assists in 40 appearances in all competitions.
There is currently a host of speculation surrounding the Spaniard's future, with Barcelona thought to be interested, but Leverkusen had seemingly been closing in on a deal.
According to The Guardian, West Ham are now attempting to hijack the transfer, with the Hammers emerging as serious contenders for the midfielder's signature.
Tottenham confirm four player exits as long-serving defenders depart
Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed that four players will be leaving the club at the expiration of their contracts this month.
The Lilywhites have technically already bid farewell to Eric Dier and Ivan Perisic, who left the club in January for Bayern Munich and Hajduk Split respectively on initial loan deals.
However, as both defenders were out of contract at the end of the season, their loans for the second half of the campaign were expected to spell the end of their time in North London.
Dier has become a mainstay in the Bayern backline, and the German champions had already confirmed that the Englishman would be remaining at the Allianz Arena for the 2024-25 campaign.
Wolves forward Cunha addresses Man United link
Matheus Cunha has said that he is "very happy" at Wolverhampton Wanderers amid suggestions of interest from Manchester United during this summer's transfer window.
The forward joined Wolves on loan from Atletico Madrid in January 2023 before making a permanent switch to Molineux later in the year.
Cunha has scored 16 goals and registered nine assists in 56 appearances for his current side in all competitions, including 14 goals and seven assists in 49 Premier League outings.
An impressive 2023-24 campaign saw the 25-year-old manage 14 goals and eight assists in 36 appearances, and there has recently been speculation surrounding his future.
"He has said no to offers" - Laporta confirms Barca star will stay at Camp Nou
Barcelona president Joan Laporta has revealed that Robert Lewandowski has rejected the opportunity to leave Camp Nou, with the striker set to remain at the club this summer.
There has been a host of speculation surrounding the Poland international's future in recent months, and ex-Barcelona head coach Xavi hinted at the start of May that the centre-forward could leave this summer.
Lewandowski scored 26 goals and registered nine assists in 49 appearances at club level last term, but he has another two years left on a lucrative contract, and it has been suggested that Barcelona are keen to move him on for a substantial transfer fee.
Laporta has now addressed the 35-year-old's future, revealing that he is set to continue at the club under new head coach Hansi Flick, who managed Lewandowski for two seasons at Bayern Munich.
Joan Laporta provides major Joao Cancelo, Joao Felix update
Barcelona president Joan Laporta has confirmed that the club are in negotiations over keeping Joao Cancelo and Joao Felix at Camp Nou for the 2024-25 campaign.
Cancelo and Felix spent last season with the Catalan giants on loan from Manchester City and Atletico Madrid respectively, and the pair were regulars for the club in 2023-24.
As it stands, both players will head back to their parent clubs after representing Portugal at this summer's European Championship.
However, Laporta has revealed that Barcelona are working to keep hold of them for the 2024-25 season, with further loan deals potentially being agreed due to the club's financial issues.
