Erling Braut Haaland starts for Manchester City as Pep Guardiola makes six changes to his starting lineup for this afternoon's FA Cup semi-final against Sheffield United at Wembley Stadium.

Erling Braut Haaland has been named in Manchester City's starting lineup for this afternoon's FA Cup semi-final against Sheffield United at Wembley Stadium.

The Norwegian scored a hat-trick in City's 6-0 quarter-final victory over Burnley last month and will be looking to add to his 48 goals across all competitions against the Blades.

Pep Guardiola has made a total of six changes to the side that drew 1-1 with Bayern Munich in the Champions League on Wednesday, with former Sheffield United man Kyle Walker, Stefan Ortega, Aymeric Laporte, Sergio Gomez, Riyad Mahrez and Julian Alvarez all coming into the first XI.

Cup goalkeeper Ortega replaces Ederson between the sticks, while Manuel Akanji will be joined in defence by Walker, Laporte and Gomez. Nathan Ake, meanwhile, misses out through injury.

Bernardo Silva is set to join captain Ilkay Gundogan in centre-midfield, while Mahrez, Alvarez and Jack Grealish will support Haaland in attack.

Kevin De Bruyne, Rodri, Ruben Dias and John Stones - who all started against Bayern in midweek - are among a strong bench for the Citizens, as is Phil Foden who has recovered from appendix surgery.

As for Sheffield United, Paul Heckingbottom has made three changes to the side that beat Bristol City in the Championship on Tuesday, with Wes Foderingham returning from suspension to start in goal at the expense of Adam Davies.

The other changes see Daniel Jebbison replace Oli McBurnie, with the 19-year-old joining Iliman Ndiaye up front, while Man City loanee Tommy Doyle - who is ineligible to face his parent club - has been replaced by midfielder Oliver Norwood.

Manchester City: Ortega; Walker, Akanji, Laporte, Gomez; Gundogan, Bernardo; Mahrez, Alvarez, Grealish; Haaland

Subs: Ederson, Dias, Phillips, Stones, Rodrigo, De Bruyne, Foden, Palmer, Lewis

Sheffield United: Foderingham; Ahmedhodzic, Egan, Robinson; Baldock, Berge, Norwood, Fleck, Lowe; Ndiaye, Jebbison

Subs: Davies, Basham, Clark, Bogle, Coulibaly, Arblaster, Brooks, Sharp, McBurnie
