Team News: Louis van Gaal names strong Manchester United XI

Wayne Rooney captains a strong Manchester United team for their FA Cup fourth-round replay at home to Cambridge United.

Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal has named a strong team for tonight's FA Cup fourth-round replay at home to Cambridge United.

Wayne Rooney, Angel di Maria and Robin van Persie all start, while Juan Mata and Marouane Fellaini also return to the XI.

In defence, there are starts for Paddy McNair and Jonny Evans, but Victor Valdes will have to wait for his official United debut as David de Gea continues in goal.

For Cambridge, Luke Chadwick is selected against his former club. Ryan Donaldson, who impressed against United last time out, is also in the XI. Tom Champion will captain the team from midfield.

Man United: De Gea; McNair, Smalling, Evans, Rojo; Blind, Fellaini; Mata, Rooney, Di Maria; Van Persie

Cambridge: Dunn; Tait, Taylor, Coulson; Donaldson, Champion, Elliott, Chadwick; Nelson, McGeehan, Simpson
