Jamar Loza rescues Norwich City at the death in dramatic Huddersfield Town clash

Norwich City and Huddersfield Town play out a dramatic 2-2 draw at the John Smith's Stadium in a game which saw two goals scored in added time at the end of the contest.

Jamar Loza struck in the eighth minute of added time to rescue Norwich City a 2-2 draw against Huddersfield Town and keep his side's automatic promotion hopes alive.

The Canaries were staring just a second defeat in 11 outings right in the face when James Vaughan scored in added time, but there was to be further late drama when 20-year-old Loza levelled up at the death to keep the East Anglian outfit in fourth place.

Bradley Johnson thought he had put the visitors ahead inside seven minutes when he finished off a header from Cameron Jerome, but the referee instead booked the midfielder for an earlier handball infringement.

Perhaps buoyed by that decision, Huddersfield pushed forward and came close to taking the lead through Joel Lynch's header which was well tipped over by John Ruddy.

Vaughan and Graham Dorrans both fired shots wide of goal as the half progressed, while the Terriers man also forced another stop out of Ruddy shortly after.

The best chance of a goalless opening 45 minutes fell the way of Gary Hooper, who failed to convert with an open goal in front of him after being picked out by Johnny Howson.

It was the out-of-form home side who were to make the breakthrough, however, courtesy of Ishmael Miller's tap-in into an empty net after he kept his cool to take the ball around Ruddy to roll home.

Alex Neil turned to Wes Hoolahan with a little over an hour played, and that proved to be an inspired change because the Irishman slotted home just five minutes later to level things up following a deft one-two with Howson.

The game looked to be heading for a 1-1 draw, but there was to be a dramatic conclusion to the West Yorkshire clash when ex-Canary Vaughan put the home side ahead in the fifth minute of added-on time, before being shown a second yellow card for his over-exuberant celebration.

The 10 men of Huddersfield were unable to hold on for the remaining minutes, however, as Lozar made no mistake at the back post to convert and keep his side's top-two hopes alive and well.

Huddersfield, meanwhile, are now 17th in the Championship table.
