Inigo Calderon rescues a point for Brighton & Hove Albion

Inigo Calderon's late goal helps struggling Brighton & Hove Albion rescue a point against Reading.

Inigo Calderon's late goal helped managerless Brighton & Hove Albion secure a 2-2 draw against Reading in their Championship clash this afternoon.

Glenn Murray gave the away side the perfect start by poking the ball home inside the first minute after Hal Robson-Kanu had whipped in a cross from the left.

Simon Cox was then barged off the ball inside the penalty area for Reading but no spot kick was given.

David Stockdale was at full stretch to tip Jake Taylor's looping header away but the Brighton keeper could not stop Murray doubling Reading's advantage when his deflected header went into the net.

Brighton pulled a goal back when a long throw by Greg Halford was flicked on by Lewis Dunk and Jake Forster-Caskey reacted quickest to score.

Another Halford throw then saw Adrian Colunga smash against the post as Reading struggled to hold on to their lead just before the break.

Following the restart, a ball over the top from Halford picked out Craig Mackail-Smith's run, but Adam Federici saved at his near post.

The Royals keeper then had to be alert to tip Solly March's goal-bound header round the post, but Brighton kept going and Calderon found an equaliser in the dying moments to complete a dramatic game at the Amex.
