Saracens fight back to beat Sale Sharks

Saracens clung on to top spot in the Aviva Premiership on Saturday afternoon after coming from behind to beat Sale Sharks 24-19.

A self-converted try from Danny Cipriani inspired Sale to a 13-6 half-time lead at Allianz Park.

However, Saracens fought back to secure their eighth Premiership win of the season thanks to tries from debutant Jack Wilson and forward George Kruis, as well as 14 points from the boot of Charlie Hodgson.

Cipriani and Rob Miller added goals for defeated Sale, who secured a losing bonus point when Nick Macleod spilt the posts with just seconds remaining.

Saracens' winning joy was tempered somewhat because flanker Will Fraser had been stretchered off in the first half with an ankle injury.
