Manchester United team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Luton Town

Sports Mole rounds up all of Manchester United's latest injury and suspension news ahead of their Premier League contest with Luton Town.

Manchester United will be aiming to bounce back from their chaotic 4-3 defeat to Copenhagen in the Champions League when they host Luton Town in the Premier League on Saturday.

The Red Devils have now lost three of their last four matches in all competitions, but they did manage to record a 1-0 win over Fulham in the Premier League last weekend.

Erik ten Hag's side are currently eighth in the table, six points behind fourth-placed Arsenal, ahead of the final set of fixtures before the November international break.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Man United's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the clash with Luton, who are 17th in the division on six points.

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: Unknown

Casemiro picked up a hamstring injury during the recent EFL Cup defeat to Newcastle United, and the experienced midfielder will now be on the sidelines until at least Christmas.

Luke Shaw

Status: Out
Type of injury: Muscle
Possible return date: Unknown

Shaw suffered a muscular problem in the defeat to Tottenham Hotspur earlier this season, and the England international is not expected to return until early December.

Tyrell Malacia

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Malacia is also still on the sidelines due to a knee injury which required an operation, but he has recently been back in individual training and could return in December.

Status: Out
Type of injury: Foot
Possible return date: Unknown

Martinez has undergone a second operation on a foot injury which he initially suffered in April, and Ten Hag recently said that the Argentine would not be available before Christmas.

Amad Diallo

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Amad remains unavailable for selection due to a knee injury that he picked up during pre-season, but the attacker is thought to be closing in on a return to the first team.

Jonny Evans

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Muscle
Possible return date: November 11 (vs. Luton Town)

Evans had to be replaced in the early stages of the clash with Copenhagen due to a muscular problem, and the experienced centre-back is therefore a major doubt for this contest.

MANCHESTER UNITED SUSPENSION LIST

Jadon Sancho is still training away from the first team due to his falling-out with Ten Hag, and he will again miss out for the Red Devils, but Marcus Rashford is available, with his red card against Copenhagen on Wednesday leading to a European ban rather than a domestic one.
